Congratulations To Roberta's Clients

Congratulations to Elizabeth Appel, whose short film EASY MADE HARD, continues to rock the festival circuit with a recent acceptance letter from Urbanworld Film Festival.

And to Trevor Anderson, whose 10th (tenth!) short film, THE HIGH LEVEL BRIDGE will enjoy its World Premiere at The Toronto International Film Festival.

Kudos to Nathaniel Eyde with BLACK OPS ARABESQUE that has screened at Sonoma, Vail, Ann Arbor, Dallas Int’l, Atlanta and SXSW.

Natalia Provatas & Valerian Zamel for getting their film CANARY SUICIDES selected for the Hollyshorts Film Festival this August in Los Angeles California! Natalia and Valerian will share the spotlight with filmmakers David Arquette, “Star Trek” actor Zachary Quinto and comedy legend Dick Van Dyke. Check out their trailer here!

Brian Higedon's A CALL TO THE POST (starring Peter Friedman) was selected for SXSW and Palm Springs ShortsFest. Brian's short film (his CalArts thesis project) is a quiet, powerful character drama about a man whose past keeps him in a holding pattern that he cannot step out of. Watch the trailer here.

Elizabeth Appel's EASY MADE HARD was selected for the Cleveland International Film Festival, WorldFest in Houston and the original script (that RM consulted with Elizabeth on) was a finalist in the Writers Network Script Competition and a finalist in Reel Women Screenplay competition. Short Film News Of The Week

Clermont-Ferrand, the most prestigious shorts festival in the world, is open for submissions. Remember my sage advice: Submit to festivals with markets!

Think it's hard to find a “name” actor to star in your movie? Think again. Even Robert Pattinson has recently been featured in Daisy Gili's short film THE SUMMER HOUSE. Which is why I tell my clients — hire a casting director! They know who is up-and-coming on the acting scene and you just might get the next Robert Pattinson to star in your next short film.
